Venus Imagery 2012 - Spring Evening Elongation.

This series of images shows Venus as a very narrow crescent approaching its transit across the Sun on June 5-6th.

Venus, June 3rd, 2012. The visible crescent which is showing considerable cusp extensions due to Venus being only 3.8° from the Sun and nearing its transit across the face of the Sun on June 5th. At right is a photo showing me imaging the planet during daylight.
