Jupiter in 2008

Observing Site: Loudwater, Bucks, UK. +51°35' N, 00°42" W.

Opposition date: July 10th, 2008. Apparent Opposition Diameter: 47.31". Declination:-22°31'. Constellation: Sagittarius.

The opposition of 2008 was an especially unfavourable one from northern latitudes. The following images were all obtained from the UK with the Planet never higher than 16º altitude and is a great example that even with Jupiter so poorly placed much useful work was still possible.
